Intro: Why I made this carrd.
I am @strwbrrycub on Twitter. I made this carrd because I've been seeing a lot of pansexual invalidation going around, on instagram, twitter and tumblr, though who uses tumblr anymore... Anyways. I made this because pansexuals as a whole have been spreading misinformation about this term, and are not really educated on what it actually is. the defintions that are being shared/told are actually very biphobic, and they are often the wrong definitions or ideas.
Let's talk about what pansexuality is.
What Is Pansexuality?
Google Definition: not limited in sexual choice with regard to biological sex, gender, or gender identity.
That is a very misleading definition. It's harmful. That defintion could contribute to Biphobia, which isn't something we want. Pansexual is a micro-label under the Bisexual spectrum. It isn't it's own sexuality, although you can call it that. But be aware, it's a micro-label. Pansexual is the more romantic attraction towards someone, regardless of sex or gender, or gender orientation. It's also more of
an emotional attraction, and it's also an attraction to personality. it's been around for a long time now, but it's been mis-shared widely. We should talk about what Pansexuality isn't.
what pansexuality ISN'T.
-pansexuality is not "gender-blind." That is biphobic, and implies that bisexuals only care about gender/sex orientation in a relationship, which isn't what bisexuality is either. do not use this, and banish the term.
-pansexuality is not "hearts not parts." That's also biphobic, because that implies that bisexuals only care about sex/intercourse in a relationship. don't use this.
-pansexual is not a bi replacement/alternative. that contributes to bisexual erasure, and bisexuals have been erased well enough, and we need to put an end to it. pansexual is not a replacement for bisexual.
-pansexual is not more woke than bisexuality. that's biphobic, it implies that bisexuality is exclusionary to my next point here.
-pansexual is NOT for transgender and nonbinary. that's both transphobic, enbyphobic, and biphobic, it implies that bisexuals exclude enby and trans, and implies that trans women and men aren't women and men. DO NOT SAY THIS.
PANSEXUALITY IS NOT THE ATTRACTION TO BABIES, ANIMALS OR INANIMATE OBJECTS OR DEAD PEOPLE OR WHATEVER. FREUD DID NOT CREATE PANSEXUALITY. HE CREATED PANSEXUALISM. STOP USING HIM TO DEFINE US AND INVALIDATE US.
Biphobia and bisexual erasure.
using the points i made in what pansexuality isn't, you can tell that biphobia and bisexual erasure runs hard and fast within the pansexual community, and we need to sqush it. stop saying pansexuality includes trans people, because bisexuality includes trans people, too. trans people are still men and women. stop saying pansexuality includes enby people, because bisexuality includes enby people. if one bi person don't date enby people, then it's more than likely a preference. that doesn't mean they hate them. quit saying "hearts not parts" for the love of witchcraft. Bisexual is an umbrella term. Pansexuality is a micro-label. As a pansexual, it's tiring for me to see other pansexuals just blindly invalidate bisexuals and erase them. some of you know what you're doing, stop it. educate yourself. If a bisexual person tells you that you're being biphobic, listen to them, and hear them out, because it's a daily life struggle for them. end biphobia and bisexual erasure, educate yourself, please.

You cannot be a lesbian and be attracted to men. Bi/pan lesbians is biphobic, panphobic and lesbophobic, and is bisexual erasure, pansexual erasure, and Lesbian erasure. a lesbian is a woman or women/fem aligned person/non masc aligned person attracted to other woman/fem aligned/non masc aligned people. Cut that shit out, you're invalidating so many communities.
